Confidence...

There are situations in life where we need to  prove what we can do. Not only for other but also for ourselves. It is difficult to overcome those kind of situations as we need to put in extra effort in order to prove that we can do the job. In order ot do that you need that little thing called confidence… I can define it as an inner force that pushes us to act in a specific way in order to accomplish a task. It inspires us and makes us look at ourselves differently (in a good way of course)

Confidence permits you to use your voice; it is that simple characteristic that can differentiate you from somebody else. It is pleasant to see whem someone knows what he/she is talking about. It actually make the audience interested; they want to know more. In everything that you do it is important to be confident; but don’t overdo it as people might get the wrong idea. You just need to find the right balance to get your message across and be heard.

The elephant in the room...

Life is sometimes funny… You can miss  someone who is so far away. That is understandable because there are thousand miles that separate you from that person. But the worst thing is when you miss somebody that you see on a regular basis.Somehow along your relationship something happened and things are not as they used to be.
I call it the “elephant in the room”. You both know it’s here but you pretend that it’s not. The elephant wants to scream: “I’m here” but somehow it doesn’t. Of course you talk to each other; “hi” “how are you?”  “Fine, thanks” those types of simple questions. But the real issue is still pending. Maybe you don’t talk about it because you know it won’t change anything.

http://madamenoire.com/127251/the-most-painful-things-a-man-can-say-to-a-woman/slide-1-84/
I like this expression as it suits this situation perfectly. The elephant is one of the biggest animals on this planet. For it to be in a room and not being talked about highlights the fact that there is a problem; and that people prefer not to talk about it. The elephant can be seen as the problem that is being ignored. The elephant (the problem) is being neglected and day after day it becomes angrier because people don’t take care of it and it may create even more damage in the end if nothing is done.
It is important to take care of our elephants (little or big) in order to avoid situations that can really damage our lives....Life is short; be happy...

Feelings follow behaviour...

At first I did not understand that sentence…I have to feel something first in order to act. Let’s take the example of somebody who is getting burnt. You feel it first then according to that you react in the appropriate manner which is getting that hot thing away from you. Okay this is a physical example. When it comes to the matter of the heart; it is completely different. For me it was pretty much the same thing but I learnt that this sentence can be true.  After behaving a certain way; feelings may be created either from one of both sides of the relationships. Let me take the example of two people always spending time together; they start getting close and behave in a certain way. Because of this behaviour; particular feelings may be created and the two people who did not see anything coming find themselves struck by love.

What do you then? The best answer could be that you go for it. If things were that simple…Sometimes; people can be together after acting that way or they can decide not to do anything for reasons that are beyond our understanding. In this type of situation, it is always better to follow your heart and weigh the pros and the cons in order to take the proper decision.

Discovery...

There is a special country that I want to visit. I love everything about it: its culture, its infrastructure; its language…everything…It’s called Japan...

http://alaska-gas-pipeline.blogspot.com/2012/03/alaska-lng-for-japan.html
First of all; I like the shape of the country; it looks like a seahorse and I find it really cute. Japan is a country that has strong traditional values. You can sense it through the way they take care of their monuments and even the way they interact with each other and their elders. There are strict rules that need to be respected. It is the case for using the term “sensei” when talking to a teacher or the term “sama” which can used to say Mr or Mrs. The formulation of the greetings depend on the time of the day. The well-known term “konnichiwa” means good afternoon and not good morning. In the morning the term “ohayou gozaimasu”must be used.

As well; I like the way they dress (especially women). The kimono is one of the most beautiful outfits I have ever seen. It is really reflective of the Japanese culture; very traditional. I think that this is really elegant and simple. It may look simple but it’s hard to put on. Especially the belt called “obi”; sometimes women take lessons in order to learn how to put the belt.

I fell in love with the Japanese culture when I was a little girl. I saw it first in the cartoons where I could have an image of the way of living of the Japanese people. I fell in love with the country; they way they speak and the way they behave. Of course I understand that this depiction does not represent the entire country and that there are negative facts as well. I guess every country has its bad side. However, I love the country; I love the traditional side of Japan. One day I hope I will be able to visit and maybe even more…

Isn't it pretty?

It is better to practice a little than talk a lot...

http://dania-putri.blogspot.com/2012/04/business-english-assignment-4ea02.html
In general; people have the tendency to make empty promises. They talk a lot and don’t live up to their words. It is a shame because people judge you based on this fact. People say that they will do things that they end up not doing after all. Words come out easily from the mouth; the hard part is when you have to act regarding what you said….Hmmm; this is when people don’t remember that they promised something in the first place.

People should act more and talk less. It refers to the saying “Actions speak louder than words”. By acting you actually demonstrate that are trustworthy and reliable. When you live up to your word; people have a reason to trust you and therefore they can rely on you. We should practice it in our daily lives as it will permit to avoid any negative situations (lack of trust from someone else).

Healthier lifestyle

Eating healthy... that is a complicated thing to do. In today’s world; we are always in a hurry; we don’t have time, so we settle for junk food or quick meals.  We know in the long run that it is not good for us; for our bodies; but we still do it.
http://www.healthyfoodssite.com/page/2
We need to start taking our bodies into account and live a healthier lifestyle. It is true that we have to give up a lot and make a lot of sacrifices (no more junk food; eating five fruits and vegetables per day; drink a lot of water; switch to low fat of fat free products; exercise). I have started a diet and I am trying to comply with those guidelines in order to live a healthier lifestyle. I know that later in life; my body is going to thank me for doing it and that is one of the most rewarding things.
http://blogs.menshealth.com/health-headlines/avoid-overeatin/2011/05/02
Being on a diet is even harder when people around you are not. You have to cook different meals; see them eat whatever they feel like. It’s hard but it’s not impossible. So; if you don’t eat healthy already; I invite you to do so.

Wedding cake in the middle of the road...

A wedding  cake..hmm...for me it represents one of the most positive outcomes that can exist.  A wedding cake obviously means that there is a wedding. It can only mean that you have found the person that you want to be with for the rest of your life (in most cases...). A wedding is a happy occasion and it involves laughter and joy.
http://www.onewed.com/photos/show/california-wedding-asian-bride-and-groom-cut-wedding-cake
The fact that the wedding cake finds itself on the road means that something negative has happened. We can conclude that when the cake was being transported; something happened and it ended up in the middle of the road. Let’s say it was a little setback and the cake made it to the wedding. We can refer this to obstacles and problems that arise in the path of our lives.

When this happens we must pull ourselves together and show what we are made of. It is the obstacles that make the journey worthwhile. One day; when you look back; you will be able to tell yourself that you made it through.
